A brand's guide to marketplace distribution
Selling on Zalando, made simple.
What a marketplace is, who owns the goods, where they are stored and how the money flows. Everything you need to understand before we start — in plain language, on one page.
Four words that decide who does what
Each of these settles a question that comes up in every first conversation — who sells, who ships, who gets paid.
- MarketplaceThe venue
- An online platform where many brands sell to end customers under one roof. The platform brings the reach and the checkout; the brand brings the product.
- ZalandoThe reach
- Europe's largest fashion marketplace, with 50+ million active customers across DACH and the EU. Your storefront to millions of shoppers.
- FastableThe operator
- Your operational partner. We connect your brand to Zalando, handle the technical setup, coordinate logistics and run day-to-day operations — so you need neither a team nor systems of your own.
- ZFSZalando Fulfillment — the warehouse
- Zalando stores your goods, ships every order and handles returns and customer service. You send stock to the ZFS warehouse; Zalando does the rest.
Goods go one way, money comes back the other
Two circuits, four parties. Solid for goods and data, dashed for money.
Ownership never changes. Your stock stays your property the whole way — it is only stored at Zalando so orders can ship the same day.

The four questions every brand asks first
Who owns the goods?
You do, at all times. The stock remains your property — it is simply stored in Zalando's fulfillment centre so orders can ship quickly. Nothing is bought from you upfront.
Where are the goods stored?
In the ZFS warehouse. You send an initial delivery, then replenish as items sell. Zalando handles picking, packing, shipping and returns.
How does the money flow?
Zalando collects payment from the end customer and settles with us. We forward your share and retain only the agreed service and logistics components.
customer → Zalando → Fastable → youWhat does it cost?
A fixed base fee of €299 per month — everything else is performance-based: Fastable shares in the sale and only earns when you sell. On top of that comes your marketing budget for platform advertising.
No in-house team or systems required.
You focus on your product — we handle the marketplace.
No new team, no new systems, no marketplace expertise required on your side.
